What happened
During my shift I accidently dropped a sample on the floor. in an attempt to quickly retrieve it and preserve the sample I experienced sudden lower back pain. I continued working without interruption but within few minutes the pain intensified and I was unable to move from my position. I went to ER for evaluation where the physician diagnosed an acute lumbar strain. I was given two injections and two pain medications along with 2 days off. despite this I insisted on staying to complete my shift with understanding that if I was unable to continue I would leave.
