What happened
I was given a requested seasonal flu shot in the office . The injection was in the left arm. When the injection was given i felt a searing sensation in a straight line down the middle of my deltoid. No rash swelling or redness was noted. Pain persisted throughout the day and by the time i got home i was unable to lift my arm over my head due to shooting pain. This persisted for several weeks despite scheduled nsaid use stretching and ice. My range of motion was effected to the point that i had difficulty undressing and was often woken up at night by pain. I am still not able to fully extend my arm overhead i have constant pain in my deltoid and my range of motion is limited. I have not sought care at this point.
