Clearing dunnage from an empty trailer

Temporary [REDACTED] (A) was removing the cardboard dunnage from the inside of container # DFSU2833458 in door 11 after unloading the floor stacked container. Another [REDACTED] (B) was at the controls to the dock leveler they grew impatient and removed the ramp while [REDACTED] (A) was still inside the trailer. Associate (A) did not notice the dockplate had been removed. while exiting the trailer they stepped into the gap where the ramp should have been. They then fell into the gap with their right leg sustaining scrapes and bruises to the sides of the leg and landing on their right arm in between the wrist and elbow. They reported the incident to the crew leader immediately and where transported by golf cart to the office for first aid to keep weight off the affected right side.
