What happened
AS I WAS COMPELTING THE PATIENTS ADMISSION I GATHERED PATIENTS HOME MEDICATION TO COMEPLETE THE PHARAMCY PAPERWORK TO LOCK THE PATIENTS MEDICATIONS IN THE LOCK BOX. AS I WAS CLOSING ONE OF THE MEDICATIONS I CUT MY FINGER. PATIENT IS A RECENT TRANSFER FROM MEDICAL CITY FRISCO AND TESTED POSITIVE FOR MRSA IN THE BLOOD. GIVEN THE PATIENTS DRUG HX AS WELL IT WAS BEST TO TEST MYSELF FOR MY SAFETY. PATIENT HAD MEDICATIONS IN HIS BACKPACK AND WAS MOVING FROM FACILITY TO FACILITY. UNCLEAR OF THE SANITARY OF THE MEDICATIONS.
