What happened
I transferred a patient from medsurg to the icu. The patient needed labs and IV access therefore another nurse and I were trying to stick a patient and supplies were left on the bed and bedside table. [REDACTED] the intensivist came by and placed a line- I went in the room after to clean up the left over supplies and when picking up what I thought was just packaging I felt a needle stick to my finger. I immediately washed my hands thoroughly and notified [REDACTED] and [REDACTED].
