Employee was traveling from a [REDACTED] project site to the company ESOP meeting. After a minor rear-end collision the employee had pulled over to the highway shoulder to inspect vehicle damage and exchange information.

While the employee was outside the vehicle on the highway shoulder inspecting damage from the initial collision an additional driver collided with the employee 's vehicle. The impact pushed the vehicles together pinning the employee 's right leg between the two vehicles.
