What happened
Employee was operating at the work center [REDACTED]: the employee noticed that the dog jaw that pulls the wire up the takeup drum was about to hit the climber pad. The employee actuated the estop to stop the machine. The machine stopped and the employee used a hand tool to try and lift the bottom ring of the coil on the takeup drum above the climber pad so that the dog jaws would not strike the climber pad. While doing so the tool slipped off the coil causing the employees left ring finger to strike the adjacent laser mic housing.
