Allegedly: Staff was leaning on a table in the conference room during our all-staff meeting. The speaker lithium battery failed resulting in an explosion and a small fire burst. Battery particles ejected from the explosion and flame burst made contact with staff member 's back burning through their clothing. No breaking to skin or redness noted on initial assessment. Vital signs assessed following the incident revealed significantly elevated blood pressure. Staff transferred to Belvis OHS for evaluation. Finding: S P exposure to chemical burn
