driving a forklift and parked the forklift and got off forklift to flatten load by hand after forklift had rolled backwards down a slight incline as he had parked parked by the banding machine.

What happened

He stopped on an incline and applied the parking brake the forklift rolled with the parking brake applied. He waited for the forklift to stop rolling then exited the forklift. As he was standing beside unit flat stacking the loose boards on top the forklift rolled another 3 inches and the unit of lumber on the forks bumped his right knee.
