Assisting nurse lifting pt in bed
What happened
After receiving bedside report from previous RN on [REDACTED] [REDACTED] we pulled the patient up. When pulling the patient up I noticed that it felt harder and heavier with more resistance. Upon assessment of the patient with the off-going RN found patient soaked in liquid stool which has saturated through the fitted sheet which was what made pulling the patient up so much more difficult and causing me to struggle and strain my left shoulder neck. I started noticing after I started lifting a [REDACTED] shortly after to prep the room for my incoming patient.
