Employee was emptying trash can in [REDACTED] lab [REDACTED] 1 the one by the door . As employee was lifting bag out of can she felt something "scratch poke" her. Employee said "oh something poked me and then I noticed a blue pad like the surgical ones and saw blood on it." Another employee was near with her [REDACTED] and took the bag and disposed of it. Employee came straight to the nursing supervisor office. Employee said it that it burns in the area of injury.
