On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] an associate was preparing to load a trailer at dock door 24 in the dry dock area. While opening the dock ramp the ramp unexpectedly closed pinching the associate’s left hand and causing a laceration and contusion. The associate was evaluated at a nearby hospital the same day and later attended a follow-up assessment at the company clinic on [REDACTED]. Medical evaluation determined the associate sustained an abrasion and contusion to the left thumb with no nail damage. The associate has been placed on light duty until cleared for full duty.
