What happened
Employee States: I administered customer 's flu shot and then the [REDACTED] vaccine. When I removed the needle from the [REDACTED] vaccine it fell out of my hand and fell onto the floor hitting my ankle on the way down. I picked up the needle and engaged the safety and put the needle back in the sharps. The patient left and when I got back to my computer I thought maybe I should look at my ankle. I noticed I had a little drop of blood. I washed the area with soap and water and used an alcohol pad as well. I put a band aid on it. I started the protocol.
