Associate was assisting pulling cables on a precast form
What happened
Two other associates were pulling the cable down the bed. As they completed the run they were preparing to pull the slack out of the cable and install the chuck for the dead end. On the live end our injured associate was placing the chuck on the cable to prepare it for stressing. As he was doing this the other two associates pulled the cable with a strong effort to get the slack out. His left forefinger was pinched between the chuck and the abutment causing a fracture to the finger tip.
