Before the incident
Employee had a [REDACTED] patient with Cerebral Palsy and is very small weighing approximately 60lbs with very little adipose tissue. When the employee was spreading the skin with her left hand and injected with her right hand [REDACTED] (prefilled syringe) it went through his skin and poked her left index finger. She noticed that she was bleeding and immediately washed the wound with soap and water and then reported it to her manager. Employee seen in ED on [REDACTED] as Concentra was having some technical difficulties and she was on hold for over 45 minutes. Her manager called employee health and spoke to [REDACTED] and she approved of the employee going to the ED to be seen. She was seen in ED and took one dose of pep until source patient lab results were back. Spoke to [REDACTED] today and she was notified of the source patient lab results and majority of hers. Some labs are still pending and we will send those to Concentra for employees follow up appointment that she was advised t
