Setting Wind Bracing Beam

As the crew worked to align the bolt holes between the beam and the column Injured Employee used a bullpin tool to adjust and align the holes. To complete the alignment injured employee used a hammer to strike the bracing beam and help bring the holes into perfect alignment for bolt insertion. When [REDACTED] struck the beam with the hammer the beam shifted slightly toward the column pinching his left pinky and ring finger between the two members. Injured Employee immediately stopped work and notified nearby coworkers of the injury. Employees immediately secured the load with the forklift and ensured the beam was stable. Site safety was notified and the area was secured.
