2 Employee (Qualified Mold Tech) was called to Desma 4 due to the machine not running. During the troubleshooting process the tech removed the window in the press door to access a sensor inside the press which was determined to be the issue. While determining the real root cause the employee was leaning into the machine resulting in the door being pushed off the sensor activating the door to open (travel upwards).

The movement of the door pinned the employee who was reaching into the machine at the time against the mold heater burning his left arm.

2nd and 3rd degree burns on right arm and elbow.

Second degree burns on right arm and third degree burns on right elbow from pressing against mold heater.
