Employee was at the forklift charging station plugging in a lift.

Employee noticed co-worker transferring a lamination transfer roller from one box to another while using a forklift and went to assist with the task. During the lift transfer the strap that was attached to the roller and forks slipped off the fork(s). The roller fell to the box and smashed the employee 's left ring finger.

The employee was treated by in-house medical team and refused at the time to seek outside medical attention. After he completed his shift he was convinced by family members to go to Saint Francis ER where he was diagnosed with a fractured tip of his finger and received 4 stitches. The following day he was seen by the company doctor with restrictions the company is accommodating restrictions prescriptions (pain & antibiotics) Will continue to work shifts but cannot take pain medicine during work.
