What happened

As I was on [REDACTED] a code blue was called in Cath lab 1. There was no rapid response nurse scheduled today so as CVICU charge RN I was expected to rapidly arrive at any code blue situations. I came down the back staff elevators from [REDACTED] to [REDACTED] exited right and started running towards the [REDACTED]. I made it to where the large clean linen bins are kept right before the end of the hall when I slipped and my left ankle twisted in a certain way that made my left patella dislocate. I felt a sharp pain and fell to the ground and scraped both of my knees. My left patella quickly relocated I think when I was on the ground. [REDACTED] was going to the same code blue and was walking behind me and quickly came to assist me. I stayed on the ground for a little while and waited for the pain to subside. [REDACTED] called some nurse coworkers for help and I asked her to continue on to the code blue because we didn 't know if she was the only RT that was responding and if the patie
