Before the incident
Employee removing a thrust reverser from shipping crate employee supporting in at the bottle lip. As the TR shift and tilted pinching employee hand under it against the bottom of the crate causing the injuries to employee right hand.
What happened
employees attempting to remove thrust reversers from shipping crates removed the first one successfully employees attempted the same strategy on the second one. employee grabbed the opposing side and lifted employee realized the forklift did not have as much weight as it did with the first T R and employee realized it was too much for employee to safely walk the T R out of the crate with another employee. another employee was assisting with lifting so employee was not able to put it back down as it would injure other employee because other employee did not know how much weight injured employee was holding. within a matter of seconds the other employee removed his hands and employee was now able to safely put in back down. however we were already at the edge of the crate and the lack of weight not being held by the forklift prompted it to abruptly drop out of the crate before employee had a chance to remove hands. as it dropped it caught employee finger between the edge of the crate and
