Before the incident
Around [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] I had finished work on aircraft and switching jobs went to a different aircraft to start work on next job. Walked up to the airplane and went to open the main entrance door and opened it as normal. Door came rapidly.
What happened
Around [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] I had finished work on an aircraft and switching jobs went to another aircraft to start work on next job. Walked up to the airplane and went to open the main entrance door and opened it as normal. Door came down rapidly and was barely able to move out of the way. My right hand got caught in the handle as the door fell and twisted scratched up my right wrist as door fell. No signs or warnings were in place to indicate the door was in a unsafe condition. Left the airplane and told my supervisor what happened. Got ice for my hand and supervisor took me to Concentra Urgent care for treatment. Urgent caretook X-rays gave me a wrist brace ibuprofen 800mg ( 3 times a day as needed ) and a cold pack.
