nursing duties

Patient 's mother & another RN walking with patient in halls. Patient did not want to go back to room. Myself (Charge RN) in hallway and helping guide patient back to room. Staff member called security to come up to bedside to assist. Patient got into room but stopped and bit other RN 's left arm. Patient then turn around and bit my left hand knuckle that was gloved. Garek Security called again to inform that we need someone ASAP and stated 2 guys en route and 2 officers came up while I was on the phone w security. IV [REDACTED] ordered PRN and given to patient patient then directed to get back into bed and did so calmly. Glove removed and skin broken and bleeding. Site cleansed w soap and water and covered w band-aid. Clinical administrator aware. BFE report completed and needlestick profile ordered per [REDACTED] Safety plan inititated.
