What happened
employee knelt to lift keel cooler kneeling on something in the process. afterward his knee started hurting swelling and was hot to the touch.

initially he thought it was a soft tissue injury and we tried ice and rest. it was the weekend so he went home to rest with instructions to let us know if he needed medical attention. the injury got progressively worse to the point where he went to the emergency room and they diagnosed severe infection and had to open and debride the wound.
