Before the incident
At [REDACTED] PE craft were resetting a breaker inside an MCC room in [REDACTED]. Three PE craft were present. Two of the crafts were resetting the breaker to a VFD when the arc flash occurred. The third craft was standing near the VFD. After the breaker feeding the VFD was reenergized there was a loud noise and the door for the drive blew off onto the floor. The main breaker was tripped. Initially both craft were fine. At [REDACTED] the employee that was near the VFD had some discomfort in his left ear. He contacted a supervisor and tried to call the site nurse. Security was called but E-squad was not needed. Employee drove himself to the clinic.
