EE states I was placing ground equipment near aircraft and attempting to lock tow bar in place which prevents movement; Bar would not lock so used increasing force to push it up into place; That increasing force resulted in pushing bar too far back and crushed my fingers between the tow bar and the ground equipment; approximation on weight 500+lbs.
