Before the incident
Employee was operating Automatic press [REDACTED] with smaller then usual parts. Employee was inspecting parts as they came out randomly They fall into the bin properly first.
What happened
Employee states a part got stuck between the work surface and the conveyor belt and instead of stopping the press to clear the obstruction he reached in and grabbed the part. The part released unexpectadly and pushed back into employees gloved hand.

Employee had a laceration on his pinky finger and slight crushing as described by the treating clinic. Employee received a single stitch on the pad of his pinky finger and had swelling treated with ice.
