Worker was drilling core samples of the concrete floor near [REDACTED] area to the right of the ramp from the lower molding floor to the upper molding floor.
What happened
Worker was using a base mounted concrete drill to extract samples from the floor. The goal was to determine the concretes thickness and confirm structural stability for possible CNC equipment installation. During drilling the bit caught on material later identified as embedded steel mesh within the concrete.
