What happened
At approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] an employee reported sustaining a puncture wound to the palm of his left hand while assisting maintenance with a conveyor belt repair. Initially the employee stated that he was holding the conveyor connection pin with a screwdriver when a maintenance employee struck the pin causing the screwdriver to slip and puncture his hand through his cut-resistant gloves. He reported that blood was “gushing out” when he removed his gloves. He cleaned the wound applied a paper towel and tape and declined medical treatment considering the injury minor.
