What happened
Employee was removing the slats from the plasma Messer table. One slat got stuck and operator tried hammering the stuck slat to make it come off. When the operator swung the hammer he misjudged the area that he was going to hammer and the hand on the hammer handle made contact with the slat instead of the hammer head. Causing the right index finger to be impacted.
