What happened
On assignment in the role of PCT Nurse I was assigned to floor 2 E Rehab to cover the [REDACTED] shift 2 E floor had around more than 15 patients and unfortunately I worked by myself as PCT from [REDACTED] assisting patients lifting moving transferring etc. continuously without stopping due to the volume. I occasionally received help from the nurses but other occasions I had to do it alone due to the circumstances and the needs of the patients. I felt a mild moderate pain lumbar area lower limbs and hips but I could handle it and I continued until the end of my shift. At night the pain became intolerable in bed until I took painkillers to sleep better. The [REDACTED] was difficult to get out of bed and walking was painful. I worked on [REDACTED] in telemetry room where I got partial relieve of the pain. Even so I notified the house supervisor to would consider my condition and limitations to work floating as PCT on any floor until be seen by a company care officer to improve the pain.
