Before the incident
EE was closing a railcar door in [REDACTED] They were using the railcar door opener to close a railcar door in the 6th position Employee got off of the fork truck to look to see if the door was lined up to be latched Employee made sure they were out of the line fire while visually looking at the door The railcar door was hung up on the bottom of the groove where the door slides in There was pressure on the door and it released causing the door to move and the hook to come off of the door The employee was startled and while moving out of the way started to fall into the rail pit They caught themselves against the railcar with their right arm As they fell their right foot became caught causing the knee to twist Employee was able to lower themselves into the pit about 48 inches below Causing scraps bruises and contusions to right arm and pain and discomfort in right knee Employee cleaned and applied ice to areas
