Before the incident
I was approaching the property in my vehicle driving up the main drive before it splits having options to go left or right Having delivered to this property on many occasions before I went right as it wraps around to the customers front porch and has space to back up and turn around As I was approaching the split in the driveway I observed the customer fishing on their personal pond which is approximately 50 yards from where I would end up parking Dog was with the customer by the pond and it appeared was being detained so I could complete my delivery Dog remained by pond until I was out of my vehicle I was aware dog was coming towards me rapidly which is when I tried to retreat to my vehicle for safety but was unable to open my driver door before the dog was on me biting me multiple times I was able to scramble into my vehicle without harming the animal and checked my injuries to make sure I was not going to bleed out
