Operator stepped out of the guardrails of the platform and attempted to gain access to the [REDACTED] die ledge - about 4 inches wide extending off the tundish. This ledge was 3 ft 6 inches from the floor. As the operator stepped on the ledge his foot slipped. Operator fell backwards landing on their back suffering a contusion to the lower left part of their back
