What happened
At roughly [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] an employee in the shipping department was moving 2x4’s up a shelf to accommodate a new load to be inserted into the designated space. While moving the last 2x4 the 2x8 above was bumped and fell about 18” striking the employee 's thumb between the two boards. The employee reported the injury immediately and was seen by two first responders. The decision was made to send the employee to the clinic for an x-ray. It was later discovered that the employee has a fracture in his thumb will be off the remainder of the day(returning [REDACTED]) and will have weight restrictions upon his return.
