What happened
Was giving resident insulin. Resident asked for a drink turned to go get drink. Tripped and fell on left arm and hip. Reached out to brace for fall and landed on left arm and hip. The noise from the fall and cry out in pain caused staff to come running to assist. Bed was in low position with mat on the floor. Employee was able to sit up but couldn 't touch arm. Arm stabilized with ace bandage and sling. No swelling and no blood present.
