Before the incident
I was on my regular shift doing my phlebotomy assignments. I had to draw a patient in ambulatory surgery room 15. The door was closed and I wasn 't sure who was in the room so I knocked.
What happened
I halfway opened the door to the room to find the nurse and patient on a language line call. My hand was still on the door when the nurse said to come in and as I did the door slipped out of my hand and slammed shut on my right fourth digit.
