I was placing an 18G IV line in CT SCAN and did not realize the needle has no Autoguard so there was a lot of blood flowing out after I retracted the needle. I tried to stop the blood flow and got exposed on my hand.
What happened
I have a couple of small superficial cuts on my finger and did not see any visible blood near that area but I am just not sure. I washed my hands thoroughly with soap and warm water afterward.
