was dong normal duties when 302 pt in ICU became loud and aggressive
What happened
Patient became loud and aggressive ripping off gown attempt to leave AMA screaming at staff calling staff names. Employee tied to redirect patient. Patient screamed and spit in employees 's face then attempted to hit in the head with fist. patient was then taken down onto bed where they grabbed employee 's wrist with unrestrained hands which had blood coming from IV site that she had just ripped out and dug fingernails deep into left wrist tearing a small chunk of skin out of wrist and several open areas on the hand and wrist.
