What happened
On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] [REDACTED] called dispatch and advised that he was going to need medical treatment. [REDACTED] advised that he had a damaged package that was leaking an unknown fluid. He needed to move the package to reorganize the back of his van when the liquid got on his hands. With the heat outside [REDACTED] was wiping sweat from his forehead to prevent sweat getting in his eyes. In doing so the liquid got into his mouth and eyes. This caused his tongue to swell and his face to go numb. When [REDACTED] looked to see what was leaking from the package it was discovered that the leaking liquid was insect poison. EMS were called and shortly thereafter arrived to provide medical treatment. The decision was made to have him sent to the hospital via ambulance. He was taken to Physicians Regional [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] was released from the hospital and advised to rest.
