[REDACTED] had left their normal work station to retrieve a pallet of inbound work with a pallet jack for FTE B. [REDACTED] returned with the pallet of new work for FTE B. [REDACTED] began to breakdown the previous gaylord that was at FTE B 's station. [REDACTED] was attempting to break down the finished inbound gaylord.

FTE A was holding the gaylord with their left hand to prevent the gaylord from shifting during the cut. They were cutting with their right hand in a motion back towards the position of their left hand on the gaylord. The grip of the blade on the cardboard slipped which allowed the blade to continue on and lacerate the left hand thumb.
