Associate was lowering a drop bar after unloading finished product from an ATLS trailer. When lowering the drop bar it caught on a pallet of finished product.

Associate walked to the pivot side of the drop bar and used right hand and foot to push the drop bar off the finished product. The drop bar is chain-fed; when it caught on the finished product the chain continued to feed putting slack in the chain. Associate had placed their limbs over the chain. When the bar dropped off the finished product it straightened the chain. The chain contacted the associate 's right hand and left bicep.
