EE was operating Coiler #1 running obsoleted material to remove from coil

EE was running the ACE coiler when the machine finished a coil EE stopped the machine and pulled the coil off the machine. EE started the coiler then grabbed the rotating rod causing his glove to become caught tangled on the spindle while it was rotating. The glove caught his fingers rolling them into his palm. He yelled for help; another EE was able to hit the emergency stop button and start to yell for help. The Supervisor heard the commotion and ran over. The supervisor got on the radio and paged for help many EEs came over to try to free EEs hand once maintenance came over they were able to manually roll the spindle backwards using a pliers. The EEs hand was caught tangled onto the rod for 2 minutes and 45 seconds. All 3 coilers will be locked out at the breaker until a proper safety assessment can be done.
