What happened

At or around [REDACTED] co-worker informed me of an incident (death) occurring in medical that [REDACTED]. I paused and sat on the edge of the admissions desk. At that time the glass gave way shattering and I feel to the floor. Surrounded by broken glass I checked my surrounding and got to my feet. At that time I did not detect any injury or see any blood. However as I walked to my office space I began feeling a pain in my left ankle. I stopped to check my ankle and immediately noticed a tear in my sock and the sock was soaked in blood. Looking under the sock I noticed what appeared to be a small puncture. I notified the manager on duty I was going to the ER for care. I returned from the ER at or around [REDACTED]. However at or around [REDACTED] I went home for rest care for the injury due to consistent discomfort.
