Installing base trim

[REDACTED] was in the process of installing base trim with a 23-gauge nail gun when he accidently activated the tool causing a nail to penetrate his knee. [REDACTED] states that he was using the 23-gauge nail gun to pin the corner of the base he then switched to 16-gauge nail gun to secure the base then went back to 23-gauge to pin the bottom of [REDACTED]. Upon switching from the 16-gauge back to the 23 is when the incident occurred.Injury Update:[REDACTED] [REDACTED] was taken to seek medical treatment off site for removal of the nail. Extraction of the nail was successful. Employee was given an antibiotic and advised to return to work today [REDACTED] 2025.Injury classification will be updated from a first aid to a recordable.
