Before the incident
Employee was reaching to remove hooks from flange when left pinky finger came in contact with edge of pipe
What happened
Employee Fabricator was working on a piece of pipe. Went to reach for flange hooks pulled them loose and in the process cut left pinky finger on the inside edge of the pipe. Employee informed supervisor and immediately came to safety office. Employee received first aid and went back to work. Employee was told to report to safety office the following morning and transported to our occupational medical care office. Employee received 7 stitches. Employee was told to monitor the cut and keep clean returned to work the following day.
