Employee was ringing up a customer 's purchase

Employee was scanning items to ring them up for a customer. In those items- the customer had a bag of frozen shrimp that [REDACTED] needed to scan. She did so- but has a severe allergy. After she completed the customer 's transaction- she grabbed her things and left her register. When she came upstairs to clock out- she told me she has a severe allergy and she was having trouble breathing. She said she had washed her hands already. I asked if she had an epi pen- she said she did; I asked if she needed to use it; she said she did. I said if she is having trouble breathing and needs to use her epi pen- she should use it. She seemed hesistant; when I asked why she said because she would need to go to the ER either way and started to cry. I again said that if she needed to use the epi pen that she shouldn 't wait. She then got it out of her bag and used it. Employee was headed to the ER for treatment.
