Before the incident
EE was training a new employee on assembling molds. Using a mold manipulator at the time.
What happened
EE 's were finished setting the cope onto the drag with the hoist. Guide rods were removed and hydraulic controls were engaged to release the cope. EE had his finger in a pinch point on the bottom side of the manipulator. As the hydraulics were engaged the shaft for the piston crushed ee finger underneath manipulator.
