What happened

On [REDACTED] the employee was working on welding station #5 when he felt a sharp pain on the bottom of his left foot at the base of his big toe. The employee was asked if he had stepped on anything that could have prompted the foot pain. He stated that nothing outside of his normal work had happened and that the pain had randomly started around [REDACTED] when he was walking towards the carts holding the upright posts. The pain continued to intensify as the day continued however he did not inform his supervisor at the time. After work the employee went on his own to the Urgent Care location at Iredell Occupational Medicine where he was initially written out of work until [REDACTED]. After his Urgent Care visit the employee called his supervisor to report the situation. The call occurred between [REDACTED] on [REDACTED].
