Before the incident
Using scalpel to remove chest plate on donor to recover heart.
What happened
Pushed up chest plate to separate pericardium from chest plate upon moving chest plate donor had blood gushing out from under chest plate and abdomen. Employee went to drop the chest plate and when moved my left hand she hit the scalpel she was holding in right hand that was open.
