Before the incident
Attempting to load patient. Partner was on the outside left of cot Lift assist was on the left foot of cot and IW was at the right foot to control the buttons.
What happened
As the cot was lifted the patient was too heavy to lift higher so as IW controlled the button. IW right wrist popped out of the socket temporarily and the cot started to tilt and fall to the right with the patient strapped in. As cot fell it started to fall onto IW and the patient 's knee hit him in the nose and IW fell backwards.
